About the role
The City of Greater Dandenong is undertaking a major transformation of its Parks Services Department and are excited to offer a newly created leadership role that will shape the future of open space maintenance in our city. As part of a broader restructure, this is a rare opportunity to join the team at a pivotal moment—bringing fresh energy, ideas and leadership to a team committed to delivering high-quality parks and open space maintenance for our community.
The Coordinator City Presentation will lead our newly formed horticulture and open mowing teams, driving service planning, quality improvements, and team development. You'll have the opportunity to recruit and build your team, design and implement service delivery programs, and improve the standards and presentation of public open space across Greater Dandenong.
About you
You are an experienced leader with a background in horticulture and open space management, and you’re energised by the chance to build a team and shape something new. You bring a passion for the presentation of quality public spaces, the ability to lead teams through change, and the skills to manage contractors, programs, and operational budgets.
You will be a strong communicator, collaborator, and mentor—comfortable navigating a complex stakeholder environment while maintaining a clear focus on outcomes, service standards, and team performance.

Key requirements:

You may be required to undertake practical testing, work preference profiling / psychometric testing, functional capacity assessment (physical) or aptitude testing.
