Join the RVC Waste and Resource Recovery team 

The primary purpose of the role is to provide a high level of service, support and maintenance in the operation of Council’s waste and resource recovery facilities.   

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operate and maintain robotic arm, street bin and hook lift trucks in a safe and efficient manner to complete routine resource recovery tasks. Work under limited direction, and in compliance with Environment Protection Authority (EPA) standards
  • Take remedial action if necessary, to ensure compliance with EPA standards and licence conditions
  • Provide efficient administrative support including maintaining accurate records
  • Ensure the safety of people and assets (public and private) to comply with the reasonable duty of care expectations
  • Report infringements of Council’s policies or practices to senior staff

We are looking for someone who

  • Is a self-motivated individual with a high level of time management 
  • Is flexible, adaptable and responsive to change
  • Experienced in operating heavy vehicles, including robotic arm trucks
  • Strong record-keeping skills with attention to accuracy and detail

We are seeking someone who has or is willing to obtain:

  • Construction Induction Certificate (WHS White Card)
  • Class HR Driver Licence  

About the Role

Full time: 76-hour fortnight

Salary: Range from $60,080 to $69,092 pa + 11.5% super
