Nextt are seeking dedicated and compassionate Disability Support Workers in Port Macquarie to provide one-on-one support for a client living with an acquired brain injury (ABI) following a motor vehicle accident. The role involves comprehensive, 24-hour care including personal care, domestic duties, community access, and attendance at medical and personal appointments. Our client uses an electric wheelchair in the community and a forearm walker with a pelican belt at home. Verbal communication is limited due to speech challenges, so patience and the ability to engage through alternative communication methods are essential. A love for music is a huge plus—music and playing instruments are a major part of the client’s life.

Shift Times
  • Day Shifts: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Overnight Shifts: 5:00 PM – 9:00 AM (includes inactive sleepover from 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM)
  • Shifts are available Monday through Sunday
Pay Rates
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax): 
  • Base hourly rate: $33.96 
  • Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $37.36 
  • Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $38.04 
  • Saturday: $47.55 
  • Sunday: $61.13 
  • Public holiday: $74.72 
Your Certificates and Licences: 
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (Current) 
  • Working with Children Check (Current) 
  • Australian Driver's License 
  • Comprehensive Insurance on Vehicle 
  • NDIS Orientation Module - Quality, Safety and You 
  • First Aid and CPR (Current)
