Your role at the Rockingham Aquatic Centre is to further develop the Swim School and ensure the Swimming Teachers under your direction are operating as per the policies and procedures of the Centre. You will work with the Coordinator Leisure Facilities to increase swim school participation numbers.
Your responsibilities include ensuring staff are appropriately trained, qualified and motivated to deliver exceptional swimming classes to our community. You will also report on learn to swim and water safety program outcomes, ensure that our programs are appropriately resourced and run efficiently, and Workplace Health and Safety laws are adhered to by staff and patrons.
You are organised and possess excellent interpersonal communication skills, allowing you to work well in a team environment or autonomously. You have experience supervising staff and enjoy mentoring inexperienced teachers. With a sound knowledge of the Royal Life Learn to Swim School guidelines and experience in programming Learn to Swim lessons, you are able to develop a sustainable, successful and compliant program.
You must possess a current Austswim certificate (or equivalent), current CPR certificate and current and valid Working with Children Check. Infant swimming accreditation, Pool Lifeguard Award and Level 1 or 2 NASCA Swim Coach is desirable, but not essential for this role.
Experience with membership and learn to swim software is desirable for this position.

What we offer
We are offering an hourly rate of $38.03 and 11.5% superannuation with the option to co-contribute up to 5%.
