Disability Support Worker – Music-Loving Client | Port Macquarie We’re on the lookout for an empathetic, motivated support worker to join a dedicated team in Port Macquarie, working with a vibrant 44-year-old man living with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) following a motor vehicle accident.
About the Role: You’ll be supporting the client across all areas of daily living, including:
- Personal care and domestic support
- Community access and social activities
- Attending appointments
- Promoting independence at home
The client uses a forearm walker and pelican belt at home, and an electric wheelchair in the community. He has limited speech, so being patient, observant and intuitive is key.

Shift Times: - Day: 9:00AM – 5:00PM
- Sleepover: 5:00PM – 9:00AM (includes inactive sleepover from 10:00PM – 6:00AM)
- Shifts available Monday to Sunday (Pick your day)
Pay Rates
SCHADS Award E3.1 Casual Rates (before tax):
- Base hourly rate: $33.96
- Afternoon shift (shift ends between 8pm and midnight, Monday to Friday): $37.36
- Active Night shift (Finishes after midnight or starts before 6am, Monday to Friday) $38.04
- Saturday: $47.55
- Sunday: $61.13
- Public holiday: $74.72
