About the Opportunity

This is a multi-faceted role that has the ability to make a real impact in the community. This role has both strategic elements and hands on delivery, working across portfolios like Health and Wellbeing, Gender equality, Aboriginal Community Development, Youth Services and Community Partnerships. Working within the dynamic Community Wellbeing team you will lead work that drives change from the ground up. If you are passionate about supporting community, positive health outcomes and equality, this is the position for you.

What you need to Succeed

  • Tertiary qualification in social sciences/community development or other relevant field or a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience working within the community development area.
  • Passion for health and wellbeing, equality and community.
  • Ability to work with multiple areas, meet deadlines and accommodate peak workloads.
  • Strong time management, communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to exercise initiative, be innovative and to advocate for change.
  • Strong people skills with demonstrated experience in collaborative partnerships and supervision/management of others.
