What We Are Looking For
Are you someone who thrives in a dynamic, hands-on environment and enjoys making a real impact in your community? In this role, you'll be the friendly face delivering exceptional customer service at the weighbridge and Rediscovery Centre, accurately managing sales and daily reconciliations using POS systems. You'll rotate through diverse tasks—from sorting and identifying reusable materials to inspecting loads, handling transactions, and resolving customer queries with confidence. With a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and community values, you'll help maintain a clean, organised facility while upholding Council’s Code of Conduct and contributing to a culture of respect and responsibility. If you're ready to roll up your sleeves and be part of a team that values sustainability, service, and integrity, we’d love to hear from you.
What You Will Bring
You’re a confident communicator with a talent for resolving issues and delivering exceptional customer service. Tech-savvy and detail-oriented, you’re comfortable using systems like Microsoft Office and handling cash with accuracy. Your experience in identifying recyclable or repurposable materials adds real value, and your strong safety awareness ensures you work smart and safe. Whether working solo or as part of a team, you bring a positive attitude, cultural awareness, and a willingness to pitch in wherever needed. You're available to work on a rotating roster, including outside normal hours and weekends. A forklift license and NT C class driver license with the ability to operate a manual vehicle round out your readiness to hit the ground running.
