Production Planner

Baiada is a privately owned Australian Company providing premium quality poultry products throughout Australia. We operate throughout Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia with our Head Office based in Pendle Hill.  Our brands include Lilydale Free Range and Steggles and support 14 Australian children's charities through the Steggles Charity Nest. 

Are you ready to take on an exciting challenge? We are currently seeking a dynamic and enthusiastic Production Planner to join our team at the Mareeba plant. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment and are passionate about production planning, we want to hear from you!

Key responsibilities (but not limited to):

Excellent planning skills particularly in relation to control of a large workforce and control of raw product flow along a moving line and through a daily production process

Well-developed problem-solving skills with the ability to arrive at and implement long term preventative actions

To ensure raw material is planned and long-term forecast is prepared & updated to meet plants ongoing requirements

Working with sales team to lock in promotions based on long term production plan. 

To ensure that any concerns raised regarding measurement and weights of product are acted on in a prompt manner

To ensure queries relating to orders for the site are managed with feedback presented in a timely and efficient manner

Required Skills (Must-haves):

Knowledge of quality systems, HACCP procedures and understanding of how day to day activities could impact product quality and production requirements

Sound knowledge of raw product range incorporating a detailed understanding of yields in terms of raw material requirements and production run rates

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral

Intermediate computer Skills

Ability to make quick and correct decisions “on the job” and throughout a production day

Ability to achieve production targets
