$75,243 to $84,336 per annum (based on 70 hours per fortnight), plus superannuation and a 9 day fortnight.

Appointed salary in this range will be based on skills, qualifications and experience

About the role

The Town Centre Management Officer plays vital role in delivering effective and targeted services within Hornsby Shire town centres. With the aim of enhancing community wellbeing and delivering meaningful, long term benefits to the local area.

The role will also deliver effective asset management within the town centre to ensure they are maintained, utilised and enhanced, where needed, to meet community expectations.

A key aspect of this role involves actively engaging with stakeholders by generating strong, collaborative relationships with local businesses, community organisations and internal teams to produce well informed solutions that consider and integrate all stakeholder perspectives.

Additionally, the role involves identifying and implementing opportunities for increased town centre activation through events and initiatives that drive foot traffic, support local economies and enhance the vibrancy in the town centre.

Position requirements

To be successful in this role, you will bring demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing diverse stakeholder relationships, including both internal and external across various levels.

You will have a strong track record of successfully overseeing projects from inception through to completion. Particularly relating to preparation of documentation such as expressions of interest and lease negotiations.

Your background will include relevant tertiary qualifications and/or substantial practical experience, complemented by excellent communication skills and a commitment to delivering high quality customer service.

The successful candidate will possess strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, with a flexible and adaptable approach to managing change and engaging stakeholders in a dynamic work environment. This role requires an active listener who fosters a culture of excellence in customer service, proactively identifying inefficiencies and implementing effective solutions that address both current and future community needs.
