Loddon Shire Council is seeking an experienced and motivated SOE Deployment Lead to coordinate and undertake the hands-on deployment of a major Windows 11 technology rollout across Loddon Shire, Horsham Rural City and Hindmarsh Shire councils.
This is an exciting opportunity for a capable IT professional who enjoys hands-on technical deskside support work, engaging with people and taking ownership of delivering outcomes.
Working collaboratively with IT teams across all three councils, you'll independently coordinate deployments, engage with users to understand their requirements, deploy and troubleshoot devices, and help ensure a smooth transition to a modern, secure and standardised operating environment.
This position is a full-time, maximum term position working 40 hours a week with a salary range of $95,399.95 - $105,413.82 per annum plus employer superannuation.
The role is based in Wedderburn and requires regular travel to participating council locations across the Horsham and Nhill regions, including overnight stays where necessary.
About you:
You'll bring strong practical experience with Windows 11, Microsoft Intune and end-user device deployment, ideally within a local government environment.
Just as importantly, you'll be confident working independently, comfortable proactively engaging with a wide range of unfamiliar people by phone, Microsoft Teams, email and in person. You will also be skilled at building productive relationships while navigating competing operational requirements.
You'll be highly organised, technically capable and comfortable making sound decisions, resolving problems and managing your own workload with minimal supervision.
