Council is seeking applications from enthusiastic motivated individuals for the following position.
PLANNING AND ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE OFFICER (Permanent)
The purpose of the Planning and Environmental Compliance Officer is to assist Council in receiving and investigating all complaints and enquiries on non-conforming development related issues and instigate appropriate action not related to Ranger Services.
On a typical day this role will:
Qualifications: The successful applicant will require a current Australian class C driver's licence. Please include copies of all relevant licenses and qualifications.
Knowledge & Skills: The successful applicant will require knowledge of current relevant legislation, regulation and standards in law enforcement, Local Government or compliance related fields. Sound communication and inter-personal skills with the ability to address and deal effectively with members of the community, developers, elected representatives and state government departments
Hours of work: 35 hours per week.
Salary and conditions: Commencement annual salary from $81,317.60 to $89,445.17 (Grade 13). Plus superannuation and a commuter-use vehicle.
