The role of Children’s Services Manager presents a fantastic opportunity to lead a high-quality network of children’s services across our shire.
Within the Children Services portfolio are six centres offering Long-day care and Kindergarten services in Casterton, Dartmoor, Heywood, and Portland. Our committed team consists of over 85 Early Childhood Educators, Kindergarten Teachers, and support workers. Our programs are designed to encourage children to learn through play and intentional teaching, providing a stimulating, enriching, and inclusive curriculum.
As a crucial member of our departmental senior leadership team, reporting to the Director of Community Services, you will drive strategic initiatives and oversee service delivery to ensure quality education and care. This includes managing the maternal and child health services contract and cultivating strong, inclusive relationships with our community and stakeholders.

What you need to Thrive
To excel in this role, you should hold a Degree or Diploma in a relevant field and have extensive and varied experience in the Children Service’s sector or its equivalent.
You will need to demonstrate highly developed communication and interpersonal skills, together with experience in a strategic management or service coordination role.
