About the opportunity

We are currently seeking a venue officer for an asap start on a casual basis to support the Shire’s popular Recreation Centre in the heart of Margaret River.

You will be responsible for maintaining a high level of cleanliness for all patrons, user groups and the public of the Sport and Recreation Facilities. Preference will be given to candidates with public and/or commercial cleaning experience. Attention to detail and taking pride in providing high standards of cleanliness are part of the requirements. Working hours will include some weekends, public holidays, and school holidays.

Position description and selection criteria

Venue Officer Clean and Maintain Position Description

Primary functions of the position are to provide clean and safe facilities for all patrons, user groups and the public in accordance with operational policy and procedures to the Shire's Sport and Recreation Facilities. The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following:

• Demonstrated experience in cleaning and maintaining facilities
• Knowledge of safe work practices (WHS) and chemical handling
• Ability to maintain high standards in a busy environment
• Reliability and flexibility (including early mornings, evenings, weekends)
